Parenthood in the Time of Covid-19
This project began by feeling inspired by my quarantine muse - my 2-year old daughter, Helen. She’s as extroverted as they come, and on any given day during early Covid, she swung from ecstatic when a neighbor waves hello from the sidewalk to devastated that they couldn’t stay forever. She was a daily reminder to her very introverted mother of how there’s no escaping the primal need we have to connect, feel curious about, and physically be with others. I had two babies during Covid - one was a week old when the world shut down, another was born during the Delta / Omicron surge. These images are a visual diary of our time as a young family during a global pandemic.
